Communications Psychology is a new addition to the Nature Research Portfolio and publishes research, review, and opinion content. As a selective, fully open-access journal, it is our mission to publish high-quality work, promote open research practices, and create a platform for researchers from all areas of psychology.
In this presentation, we will discuss the scope and aims of the journal, and how it relates to other Nature portfolio imprints, including Nature and the Nature Research journals. We will delve into what role the journals want to play in promoting open research and what policies we put into place for that purpose.
I will also explain the editorial processes at Communications Psychology and its sister journals (including Nature, Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Communications, and Scientific Reports): what do editors look for in the papers we want to publish, and how do we make decisions? You will get tips on how to write a paper for submission to Nature portfolio journals, and how to navigate peer review.
