They were warmly welcomed by Department Head Guibing He, Party Secretary Weilian Lin, Deputy Head Zaifeng Gao, Deputy Party Secretary Jie He, and union president Jian'an Zhong. The welcome ceremony, chaired by Party Secretary Weilian Lin, began with Department Head Guibing He expressing a heartfelt welcome to the City University delegation. He also extended gratitude for the meticulous hospitality during the Zhejiang University delegation’s visit to Hong Kong in October 2018 and discussed the progress of the ongoing exchange program. Professor Jingshan Chen from the Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong conveyed his appreciation to the Department of Psychology and expressed his hopes that the students would gain valuable insights from the trip. Subsequently, Professor Zaifeng Gao and Professor Jingshan Chen exchanged commemorative gifts, and the Department of Psychology presented the visiting students with department T-shirts as souvenirs.

Following the welcome ceremony, Zhi Li, a Zhejiang University 100-Talent Plan Research Fellow, delivered a lecture titled Applications of VR Technology in Psychological Research and guided the delegation through his VR laboratory. The students enthusiastically tried out immersive VR games, enjoying the interactive experience.

On the afternoon of January 9, the delegation visited the Zhejiang University History Museum on the Zijingang Campus, gaining an in-depth understanding of the university’s historical evolution. Despite the drizzling rain, they toured the campus and took photos by the Qizhen Lake. Later, the group visited the Psychological Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, where Teacher Ci Wang guided them through the undergraduate teaching laboratories, showcasing the department’s research advancements and undergraduate students’ recent scientific achievements.

On January 10 and 11, the City University delegation visited the Alibaba Campus, NetEase Games, Smart E-Valley, and Yunqi Town. During these visits, guides enthusiastically introduced each company’s development history, led tours of the campuses and office areas, and provided insights into the daily work environments of employees. The students engaged in in-depth discussions and Q&A sessions, leaving a strong impression of Hangzhou’s open, inclusive, innovative, and collaborative “internet gene.”

On the morning of January 12, the faculty and students enjoyed a boat ride on West Lake, reflecting on and summarizing their experiences in Hangzhou amidst the scenic beauty. The students shared their takeaways from the trip, marking the successful conclusion of the Hangzhou Week of the Leadership and Cross-Cultural Exchange Program.
