On July 2nd, the CRCEP International Graduate Summer School hosted by the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Science at Zhejiang University entered its second day. Scholars, faculty, and students from China, Indonesia, Italy, and the United States continued their academic discussions and exchanges through a hybrid format of online and offline sessions.
First, Alex English from the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Science at Zhejiang University delivered an academic report titled How Culture Influences People Who Move to New Locations: Evidence from 4 Longitudinal Studies, explaining regional differences in psychological characteristics from the perspective of cross-cultural psychology.

Following a short break, Xiaopeng Ren from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented an online lecture titled Historical and Ongoing Frontier Ecology of Independent Agency: World and China from the perspective of culture and human behavior.
Despite the hot weather, the students' enthusiasm remained undiminished. During the intermission, they engaged in lively discussions with Indonesian peers regarding their final presentation topics.
In the afternoon academic session, Yanhui Mao from Southwest Jiaotong University delivered a report titled The Application of Flow for Human Flourishing and Well-being, introducing students to the evolution and application of flow theory.

Professor Marino Bonaiuto from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, presented a report titled How Smart Working Impacts Psychological Effects in the Workplace and Outside. Students actively asked questions and exchanged ideas with Professor Marino.
In the evening, Professor Thomas Talhelm from the University of Chicago focused on methodological issues and new developments in psychological research, delivering an academic report titled Research in Action: Current Problems with Measuring Culture in Psychological Studies.“

After the presentations, scholars and students, both online and offline, engaged in vibrant discussions about the content. The day-long academic exchange activities concluded in a dynamic atmosphere.

[About CRCEP]
The Cross-cultural Research Collaboration and Exchange Program (CRCEP) is a faculty and student research collaboration and academic exchange initiative under a scientific research cooperation framework. It is led by the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Science of Zhejiang University and the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Surabaya, Indonesia, with participation from institutions such as the Islamic University of Indonesia, Airlangga University, and Ciputra University. The program aims to promote academic connections among university faculty, strengthen students' research capabilities, hone their teamwork skills, and enhance cultural sensitivity, cross-cultural research collaboration, and communication skills. Launched initially in 2012, the program has now been successfully held for ten sessions. It has yielded fruitful results and received positive student feedback, attracting attention from numerous domestic and international universities.
